Spring Farm Footwear

Every year, or every other year depending on sizing, I buy the kids new neoprene boots. They are a must for our lifestyle, and while we certainly aren’t too good for used, it’s rare that I come across a used pair for all 4 kids.

I used to spend a great deal of time scouring Amazon in search of Bog or Muck brand boots from the Amazon Warehouse or just see what luck I could have finding a random discontinued style that would be super discounted. We had tried other rubber boots from local stores, but they just couldn’t cut it. This was one of their most heavily worn footwear pieces, so the quality needed to be good and the purpose fulfilled.

Then I found these. I was hesitant at first, because I just didn’t believe there could be an equivalent. But I decided to take a chance and try them out, because $70 bogs x 4 kids every year or two begins to hurt.

I was so relieved and excited to find that the purchase had been money well spent. They fit comfortably, they were waterproof, and they look and are modeled after Muck brand boots. We are on our second round of these now, and they are holding up being handed down through 3 boys quite nicely. The only downside, if you can call it a downside, is that there are only the two color/pattern selections- camo & black. The pretty and fun patterns of other brands are nice, but I’m not sure they are worth an additional $30.

If you’re not convinced, you can sometimes catch some good discounts on Bogs & Mucks, and now happens to be one of those times. Several sizes and styles are on sale. One thing is for sure- the rainy season is upon us, and I’ve gotta get boots ordered!
